POSITION: Food and Beverage Supervisor
SECTOR: Hospitality.
LOCATION: Kigali, Rwanda.

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage service areas. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, managing inventory, and ensuring that all F&B services are provided efficiently and in accordance with company standards.

 👔 Key Responsibilities:

✅   Supervise daily operations of the food and beverage areas, including restaurant, bar, and room service.

✅   Lead, train, and motivate the F&B staff to deliver exceptional guest service.

✅   Ensure all staff adhere to service standards, company policies, and health and safety regulations.

✅   Monitor and maintain inventory of food and beverage supplies, ensuring sufficient stock and timely ordering.

✅   Assist with the preparation and presentation of menus, ensuring all offerings meet quality standards.

✅   Handle guest complaints and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.

✅   Ensure cleanliness and organization of all F&B service areas, including dining areas, kitchen, and storage.

✅   Manage staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours and events.

✅   Maintain financial records, ensuring accurate cash handling, billing, and tip distribution.

✅   Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

✅   Provide training and development opportunities for the F&B team to improve service quality.

✅   Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to service offerings.

✅   Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

✅   Assist with administrative tasks, including staff performance reviews, ordering supplies, and maintaining staff records.

✅   Oversee the preparation, presentation, and delivery of all food and beverages to meet quality standards.

✅   Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor, in line with the responsibilities of the role.

1. Educational Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Related Field:

A degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is often preferred.

 

2. Diploma or Certification in F&B Management:

 

A diploma or certification in F&B management or culinary arts can also be valuable, 

particularly for those who may not have a degree but have specialized in food and beverage services.

 

Relevant Experience:

 

1. Previous Experience in F&B Roles:

Typically, 2-5 years of experience in food and beverage service, with experience supervisory or team-leading roles.
