🌳 Environmental and Social Specialist - Job Description

I. Position and Requirements

- Position Title: Environmental and Social Specialist 

- Preferable Location/Nationality: Rwanda

II. Educational and Experience Requirements

- Relevant Academic Qualifications: Must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Environment, Social Science, or similar studies.

 -  Minimum Work Experience: A Total Experience of 1 - 3 Years in the management of Environmental and Social (E&S) risks and impacts, specifically in similar works.

III. Key Responsibilities

The Environmental and Social Specialist will be responsible for the following core duties:

Strategy and Planning:

- Prepare the Environment and Social Management Strategy and Implementation Plan (ES-MSIP) documents strictly according to country norms.

- Ensure all prepared documents are approved by the customer/client.

Implementation and Compliance:

   - Oversee and deliver all project activities related to E&S specialist, prioritizing adherence to the Environmental and Social Management Plan.

   - Prepare required project documents based directly on customer requirements.

Training and Capacity Building:

   - Provide timely and necessary training on the ES Management Plan to all project manpower (staff and personnel).

Documentation and Reporting:

   -  Maintain and keep all documented records of specialist activities accurately and systematically.

Communication:

   -  Fluency and proficiency in English Speaking are required for effective communication and reporting.
