As part of The Organization, the Shared Service Center, established in 2025, includes a dedicated MIS/IT department. ASCENS, the MIS/IT department, supports 250 subsidiaries from hubs in Paris, Abidjan, Johannesburg, and Kigali, ensuring the effective use, management, and continuous evolution of the Group’s digital tools.

As part of innovation drive, ASCENS launched its first Innovation Center—YIRI—in Abidjan, a collaborative space dedicated to digital transformation and partnerships with internal teams, technology providers, universities, and start-ups. JOB FUNCTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The FinOps Azure Expert ensures compliance with FinOps governance at organization, focusing on cost control, consumption optimization, and resource governance. This role collaborates with Architecture, Internal Solutions, Finance, Operations, and Security teams to align business, technical, and financial objectives.

Main Functions:

·       Analyze cloud consumption and identify possible optimizations.

·       Define, challenge, and enforce FinOps governance; establish standards and controls.

·       Prioritize an application scope and build an action plan (Quick Wins and long-term projects).

·       Industrialize cost visibility and produce dashboards (e.g., Power BI).

·       Support solutions and finance teams in cost management.

·       Define and monitor FinOps KPIs.

·       Lead governance activities and prepare committee materials.

·       Educate and train teams on FinOps best practices and support change management.

·       Collaborate with Finance, application owners, and management to ensure strategic and operational alignment.

·       Implement continuous improvement roadmap and business cases (TCO).

·       Maintain and improve the Power BI feed.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

·       Experienced IT professional with solid expertise in Microsoft Azure acquired in IT departments within Architecture, Operations, or Project teams, and with expertise in Cloud FinOps practices.

·       Capable of reconciling technical requirements, performance, security, and cost control, and quickly gaining skills on the subjects.

·       Experience with Azure Cloud architecture and Microsoft 365 services.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft M365 licensing is a plus.

·       Mastery of FinOps practices: cost allocation, budgets and alerts, tagging, KPIs and consumption optimization.

·       Analytical skills, rigor, service orientation, effective communication, writing skills, pedagogy.

·       Data skills: modeling, data quality, SQL queries or PowerShell scripting, Power BI.

·       Preparation of meetings with experts.

·       Ability to challenge requests (critical thinking, being proactive and advisory).

·       Recommended certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Admin Certification (AZ-104)
